Experience the excitement of packrafting on Highland whitewater
With new and very accessible pack raft kayaks, capable of coping with rapids of the Carron, at CampX we are blessed with being surrounded by national class whitewater rapids. If that's too extreme they are perfect for touring the nearby Loch Migdale or taking on a hike across the Highlands and incorporating a loch or two on your excursion.
CampX Facilities
We will supply pack rafts and paddles. We do not provide wetsuits or whitewater safety equipment but we have a supply of buoyancy aids. We also have a pair of his and hers hard shell hybrids. Depending on river levels and competencies you may be able to drop them in the quieter sections of the Carron to test yourself on river conditions. Guest planning to tackle whitewaters must demonstrate suitable qualifications
The CampX Adventurers
Jonathan and Graham first met in a Berber Tent in the Sahara whilst taking part in the Marathon Des Sables multi-stage desert race. They have since competed together in many events, but always with Graham patiently waiting for Jonathan to join him at the end. They have shared kayaks and bivouaks through numerous endurance competitions and won firsts in age group in the same Guernsey marathon.
