Graham

Senior Adventurer & CampX Director

Graham spent his early and teenage years as a club swimmer spending much of his free time kayaking and sailing the waters of the Thames Estuary. It was an itch to tick the London marathon box that lead him to discover his love and talent for running in later life.

The running bug bit and Graham has competed in 80+ marathons, multi-stage races, and Ultras including up and down silver medal category times at the Comrades marathon, 2 UTMBs, and an MDS finish where he had the pleasure of sharing a tent with Jonathan.

Personal highlights include wins at the Dorset coast Jurassic Oner and Guernsey Ultra, second in the multi-stage Namibia desert Ultra where he once again shared a tent with Jonathan, a 4th at the Centurion Thames Path 100 and a second at the Caesar Camp 100.

Branching out into triathlon Graham earned GB age group representation at both ITU Long distance and Ironman 70.3 World Championship events. Graham also buddied up with Jonathan for two Devizes to Westminster non-stop K2 canoe races and claimed a third finish with his brother John.

Graham now captains his local running club and spends as much time as he can training on road & track and in the local pool but is never happier than on a muddy trail, racing cross countries, or swimming in a wild sea.

Jonathan "JB"

Senior Adventurer & CampX Director

Jonathan started out his life in The Royal Marines and latterly moved across to field work in MI5.

With a love of most adventure sports, where specifically he has enjoyed skiing, paragliding, and dirt biking, amongst others, he has later in life focused more and more on endurance challenges.

He has run numerous marathons and as many Ultras, including MDS, The Namibia Dessert Challenge, and three Comrades Marathons in Africa. He has also completed 2 Devizes to Westminster non-stop Canoe Races. Jonathan is a keen shot, a proficient paraglider, always happy on the back of a motorbike or in the white waters of The Highlands but never happier than at the top of a mountain.

John

Adventurer

John started out his life in the Army fixing Lynx and Gazelle helicopters and has carried those skills into later life maintaining police and air ambulance aircraft and commercial jets.

As a club swimmer John was quickly recruited into the Army swimming team. He also represented them at the Devizes to Westminster canoe race.

A natural sportsman John devloped into a keen wind and kite surfer, spending many hours carving up the Essex coastline.

Of late he has followed Graham into endurance running, completing several ultramarathons including a centurion distance. With a nod to his army background he discovered a talent for military pack running events, travelling up and down the country to compete and always looking to podium. He also found a love for canicross running. Never happier than out training with his four canine family members John (and Khan) qualified for the national canicross team in 2023 representing team GB at the world championships in Germany.
